This case is exactly what you expect when you pay $6 shipped. It's plastic but the texture feels fine. The grain looks like leather but one touch and you feel the cheap plastic. When I say cheap, I refer to the quality not the value. It's GREAT for $6. I thought it was a case I would get while I wait for "awesome" ones to appear but have quickly realized that I will use this as my one and only case. I've had it for 2 weeks and there are no signs of wear or anything. Just remember, you're buying an economical case and it's definitely worth more than the price.
I've tested this case with multiple Google Nexus 7 devices. The magnet DOES NOT put the tablet to sleep. If someone has successfully done so, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. From what I can tell, the magnet just keeps the flap closed.

I ordered this as a stop gap cover for my new Nexus 7. I originally wanted the Google case but it was not available. The magnet sleep feature on the case is awesome and the stand works great. There were a few comments about the speaker being muffled but I hear mine just fine. I would highly recomend this.

I really like this case. It fits nicely, gives a good protection, folds into a small stand, and closes well. At the same time my Nexus seems much thicker when in this case. Shipping was very fast
