Turn Crayola markers into spray-on designs! Attach to almost any Crayola marker, pump it up and spray out a fine marker ink. Create airbrush effects on paper and fabrics. Includes 1 airbrush set, 8 washable broadline markers, 4 bright fabric markers, stencil sheets and 20 sheets of blank paper. AP-certified non-toxic.
Create airbrush art with the Crayola Marker Airbrush set. Twelve included markers--eight for paper and four for fabric--are pressurized by an airbrush machine to spray ink, giving kids a fun new way to use markers. The set can also be expanded with Windows markers (sold separately) that allow kids to decorate glass. Also, the four included stencil sheets are great for creating precise designs and inspiring young artists.
The Crayola Marker Airbrush set gives kids a whole new way to use markers: by spraying them! The spray nozzle delivers ink through pressure, giving young artists a fun way to express their creativity. Kids can move the nozzle closer to the paper for a darker, more defined line, or pull it back to create a fuzzier look.
Four included stencil sheets give kids a great way to create more polished designs and to be inspired about their creations. The stencils include everything from a water template with jellyfish, sharks, and crabs, to a space theme with rockets, planets, and stars.
Each stencil also has a patterned edge, so kids can add fancy borders to their designs.
The Marker Airbrush is simple for kids to use: just push the marker into the spray nozzle, pump the handle to build pressure, and pull the trigger to spray. Since it operates using pressure, the Marker Airbrush doesn't require any batteries or cords.
While the Marker Airbrush process is not mess-free (our testers ended up with dots of ink on their hands from the spray),the set is designed for easy cleanup. The nonfabric markers are washable, and the spray nozzle can be wiped with a paper towel or rinsed. Ink does not flow through the pressure tube.
The Marker Airbrush does not have a wide spray, but our testers still recommend a washable, nonfabric surface under the paper for those times when spraying runs outside the edges, or the ink bleeds through the paper.
Make your own t-shirt creations with the four included permanent markers. The brightly colored permanent markers can be sprayed on fabric and sealed by either ironing or drying in a clothes dryer for 30 minutes. Adult supervision is required to seal the fabric.
T-shirts are not included.
The Marker Airbrush set works with any broad line Crayola marker, including regular, washable, Pip-Squeaks, Crystal Effects, Window, and Bright Fabric markers. The Crayola Windows markers (sold separately) can be used to decorate glass.
Marker airbrush unit, 4 color markers, 8 washable markers, 20 sheets of paper, 4 stencils, and instructions.

This battery free airbrush set is pretty nice! You can use any broad tipped "Crayola" marker but the competitors brand did not work for us. You snap the marker tip into the little spray wand, pump the canister, get your paper ready with a protective layer around it and spray away. We have had a few problems with the spray tip but that could be easily fixed. If you put the tip in too far it will bubble ink out the end and drip instead of spray and if the tip is not in far enough there will be no color spraying. It has a really nice control lever but much of it seems to be controlled by how much air you pump into the canister and if you keep it full. It comes with markers, some stencils that have to be held or will blow away, and white paper. We have not yet tried the 4 fabric markers but will after more practice. This is a really fun starter kit for older kids interested in airbrush art! Note: *Realize you are spraying colored marker that if turned in anyway but... I wasn't sure what to expect from the Crayola Marker Airbrush Set, but it's safe to say I came away feeling both impressed & disappointed. It works, you can be sure of that. The "paint" that is sprayed is more splotchy than misty. That said, there is a definite distinction between creating lines or fills based on the distance between the airbrush and what you're painting. The stencils are a great way to use the Airbrush set, and I recommend creating your own for variety. Things you should know before cutting the kids loose on it: This thing has the potential to get real messy. The set includes both washable and fabric markers, and it's really easy to blindly alternate while creating. Odds are good, the ink will end up on whatever you're wearing. Not because it has an uncontrollable spray, but because it gets on your hands, and the tip gets wet after every use. Towels on the floor or outdoors are strongly recommended. The only real... So at the risk of sounding like a downer, I have to say I'm kinda disappointed in this product. We have had several play sessions with this set and each time I find myself questioning why I got it out again.First off, this thing is unwieldy. You have to have constant watch on your kids (mine are 6) to ensure they are spraying the colors where they're supposed to. We had colors ALL over ourselves after the first time as they began to spray the floor, desk, each other, etc. While this may sound like a lot of fun, it is a real PITA to clean up. Secondly, as other reviewers have mentioned, the pressure in the tank does not last long. You have to constantly pump the lever....and when I say you, I mean you the parent. My kids simply were too small to pump it themselves. Finally, as this thing is powered by markers, you find yourself tearing through markers and then having to throw them away afterwards. This seems wasteful to the environment. Why... Read more |
